How this calculator works

It uses the core Google Ads cost identities: clicks = budget ÷ CPC, leads = clicks × conversion rate, and cost per lead = budget ÷ leads. Add a CTR to also estimate impressions (impressions = clicks ÷ CTR).

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I estimate how many clicks my Google Ads budget will buy?
Divide your monthly budget by the average cost-per-click (CPC). For example, a $1,000 budget at a $2.50 CPC buys about 400 clicks. This calculator does it automatically and also estimates leads and cost per lead.
How is cost per lead (CPL) calculated?
Cost per lead = budget ÷ number of leads, where leads = clicks × conversion rate. At 400 clicks and a 5% conversion rate you get 20 leads, so a $1,000 budget implies a $50 cost per lead.
What CPC and conversion rate should I use?
Use your own account data if you have it. Otherwise prefill from 2026 WordStream industry benchmarks using the buttons above the calculator, then adjust.
